The image again is the same band 'Blame' as on the front page, I have used the same band because it also shows that this double-page spread is inside the magazine. Looking at the band in this image they again look like a real life indie/rock band that you would see in NME or Kerrang. I like the image as again the band are looking directly at the camera showing that they are talking directly at the audience, as if they were speaking what they were saying what they said in the interview to you in real life. With their arms crossed you can tell that they have an attitude, which most rock bands have.
I have used a plectrum/pick in the top left hand corner of the page to underline the introduction to the double-page spread, I have done this because rock bands also play guitars and they have to use a plectrum to play a guitar, I feel that this is very effective because it has a meaning to why I am using it. I feel that it also makes the introduction stand out within the first page.
The band name 'Blame' is in the top corner, I have used a different font to the rest as I feel that it gives the page a rocky look about it. I really like the way in which the font stands out. The title is in massive font showing that this double page spread is all about this band and nothing else.
I am very happy on how this double page spread has came out. I feel that it looks very professional and how the colour schemes and house style has been carried out through out the pages.

This is my final front cover of my preliminary task for my still image piece. I created this front cover using Photoshop. Which i have been used to using as i use it for photography. The challenges I found to use Photoshop was that it was hard to layer with some of the pictures, even though its pretty basic. My image that i used as my background image it was hard to find colours that would stand out against the colouring within the image.
The particular social group that I have chosen to work with is the sixth formers at chew valley school. I have reached out to this audience as it is the start of the new term and there is a new sixth form block opening up to them. Although I have put underneath the title (Chew News)- "sixth form special" so that the reader knows that this particular episode of the magazine is all about the sixth form and not its original publication.
The institution that would be interested in selling my magazine would be an institution that sells magazines to schools around the country. Also chew valley school would distribute my magazine as well as it is about the school so they would want to sale it.
As i said before the audience that i have chosen to work with was students of Chew Valley sixth form as the magazine is titled Sixth Form Special so you can tell that it is just for the sixth formers, but other students of the school are welcome to buy the magazine as they might like to see what it is like to be at sixth form. I address my audience through images of the new sixth form block and images inside the magazine of the students.
I have learnt how to use Photoshop better, I was alright with using it to start with but now I feel very confident with using it for my actually final product. Looking back through my preliminary task I have learnt to use Photoshop and how to layout my magazine better.
